Fiesta™ works at the cellular level through iron toxicity. It is absorbed quickly by the plant tissue and then transported to the root. The abundant intake of FeHEDTA by numerous broadleaf weeds results in the affected area turning brown and black (tissue necrosis), which eventually causes the weed to perish. The difference in the way broadleaf weeds and turfgrass absorb and use Iron is what makes the product selective. This selectivity ensures that only the weed is affected, and the turfgrass remains unharmed.
